Set on its own in the gardens, the Vintage Home is a tribute to old planter's Wayanad, a green-roofed cottage with thick walls, stone-block corners and a stamped-stone courtyard that catches the morning mist.

Inside, a vaulted teak ceiling rises over a wood-panelled sitting room furnished with hand-carved cane settees, a vintage wall clock and framed hill-country prints, a room that feels like a grandparent's house, only quieter.

The bedroom carries the same warmth: a polished-wood ceiling, soft linen with a touch of forest green and a lamp-lit niche, while a tea-and-coffee corner by the entrance gets your slow mornings going.
