Why we built the Vintage Home

Our Vintage Home at YNAD Mount Resort is a planter's-era house with deep verandas, timber floors and gardens on all sides, the kind of place where children invent games and elders claim the veranda chairs by day two. It sits within the resort grounds at Valathoor, Rippon, so the kitchen, staff and help are always close.

Planning the days

With a mixed-age group, plan one outing per day, not three. The 900 Kandi glass bridge thrills teenagers; Soochipara Falls has viewpoints that don't require the full hike; Pookode Lake offers pedal boats for small children; and the tea estate walks around Meppadi are flat enough for everyone.
